🎯 The Eco Impact Score Objective
In anticipation of mandatory environmental labeling planned for 2025-2027, we propose a score based on product life cycle analysis. What's the objective?
- Enable manufacturers to position their products and understand their environmental impacts.
- Engage in eco-design approaches, highlight their commitments... or both.
- Show that change is possible and that the benefits of transparent environmental communication outweigh its limitations.
- Help buyers make choices at the point of purchase by comparing at a glance the environmental impacts of two products serving an equivalent function.

Life Cycle Assessment [LCA]
It enables rational evaluation of product impacts through a dual approach:
- Multi-stage: Each stage of the product's life cycle is considered to address the communicating vessels effect (from raw material extraction to end-of-life, including manufacturing and various transportation).
- Multi-criteria: Between 12 and 16 impact indicators are evaluated, quantifying a product's effects on air pollution, water pollution, resource depletion, and human health.
